As a child, Germany-based photographer Carola Becker of Sepia Photography enjoyed collecting and drying autumn leaves.
After several days however, their discoloration would leave them looking lifeless.
Keen to preserve the attractive hues of these leaves, Becker took to photographing myriad of the greeneries last autumn in the forests near her hometown.
She initially worried that the project would turn out to be rather dull. As she began to compile the photos together, Becker became increasingly amazed at nature’s diversity and beauty expressed through the individuality of each and every leaf.
